Opening Day at Fenway!

I got home in time to see a little of the Ring Ceremony, and the First Pitch!

I watched Buckner walk across the field, tears in his eyes (and mine) to the pitchers mound, and throw the ball to Dewey.  Probably one of the Best First Pitch at Fenway I have ever seen.

We watched the entire Ring Ceremony last night and I cried through that.  My 86 year old father and my 6 year old Grandaughter were watching with me.  How incrediable is that.  My dad never thought he would see one Ring, never mind two!Two nights later, the Mets won the seventh game, 8-5, keeping intact the Red Sox streak of not having won a World Series since 1918. They finally succeeded in 2004, winning their first championship in 86 years.

Dan Ventura from the Boston Herald headlined his column with "All is Forgiven!"  What the h*11, did he not see Buckner play ball?  He was one of the reasons the Sox were even in the 86 Series! The Red Sox unveiled the 2007 World Series rings this morning.

That's some Bling!

And to add a little icing to the day Dice K got the win. 5 to 0.  Welcome home guys, it's been a long winter.
